Djordje Milosavljevic has been described as Yugoslavia's Quentin Tarantino. Mechanism is his second film where good and evil collide in an explosive ballet of violence. The story in Mechanism is situated on a remote railroad station far out in the Yugoslavian countryside. Mak works here as a cabdriver. It is a quiet life, exactly what Mak is looking for. He was in the war, and still has traumas from that time. He has come here to calm his nerves and get his life back. But then, the beautiful schoolteacher Snezana arrives at the train station. Mak and Snezana find each other, and what looks like a beautiful romance is about to start. But under the quiet surface, the destructive powers of war are starting to wake up. Our heroes are forced to fight for their lives as a violent struggle between good and evil is brewing. They fight for the value of life against those longing for destruction. Djordje Milosavljevic He is our famous film and TV director and scenario writer form Belgrade. He got into focus of audience by its films "Mehanizam" and "Tockovi", as well as by scenarios for films "Nebeska udica" (director: Ljubisa Samardzic) and "Apsolutnih sto" (director: Srdjan Golubovic). Film theorists speak of him as of the best Serbian scenario writers of younger generation.
