Eventually he gets involved, not without bitterness, and tries to change himself, intending to be like his colleague across the street, who has adjusted to today's time: with every party he's swift and busineslike. Učestvujući otvorena srca u odnosu sa mušterijama, automehaničar Života doživljava razne zgode. Neke su smešne, neke su tužne, neke otkrivaju lepotu, a neke ljudsku bedu. Na kraju se i sam zapetlja, i ne bez gorčine, pokušava da se izmeni, nameravajući da postane kao njegov kolega preko puta, koji se prilagodio današnjem vremenu: sa svakom strankom kratko i poslovno.
